ERR_CONNECTION_RESET error
ERR_CONNECTION_RESET means the connection opened but then broke off suddenly in the middle of the exchange. The browser started talking to the server and the link was cut. Unlike a timeout or a refusal, the connection did exist here, but it was dropped halfway through.

What causes it
Most often the reset comes from the server or the gear between you and the site: overloaded hosting, an aggressive firewall, flaky Wi-Fi, or ISP filtering. Sometimes antivirus software or a VPN that inspects traffic is the culprit.
How to fix it
- Reload the page, since a reset is often a one-off and clears on the second try.
- Check your own link: restart the router, try a cable instead of Wi-Fi, or switch to mobile data.
- Turn off any VPN, proxy, and extensions, and pause antivirus that scans HTTPS.
- Clear the cache and flush the browser DNS, then open the site in incognito.
- If the site is yours, check server logs and the firewall (CSF/mod_security) for mass resets and reduce CPU load.
- Make sure the web server's connection limits and timeouts are not set too low for your traffic.
